Option 1: Describe a situation in which it would be better to try and get what you want indirectly, rather than asking for what you want. Then describe the indirect approach that might be effective.
Say your friend borrowed your jacket from a long time ago and she/he said they would give it back but they keep forgetting. You don't want to be mean and just straight up ask them for it cause it might make them feel awkward. Instead you could kindly ask them if they still had your jacket instead of saying something like "give me back my jacket."
